EMS - a common term used by teachers (esp. Pri sch) to represent English, Mathematics and Science.
Yes.
Your eyes are not playing tricks on you. I started teaching EMS today. However, I only managed to give the kids Spelling for their English and it was quite tedious on my part.. Sigh..
Science and Math still not too bad. Guess I really sux at English.
But hey! I am trying..
I introduced myself to the class today and allowed them to ask me 3 questions. I tot they would all ask me very personal questions but guess what.. One of them asked me this question..
"What happen if we do not do your work?"
Ok.. Interesting! Testing water on the 1st day..
Actually I also dunno how to answer.. Initially, I wanted to tell the boy that I will not give a damn if he does my work or not cos ultimately if he fails to do what were being told of him, he will have to see the Principal for disciplinary action. But I decided to come up with some consequences.. The standard ones like stay back during recess etc.. So dumb!
Ya.. And I collected some books from the students which caused me to mark from 3pm to 1030pm! Goodness gracious!! It was so tiring.. But I have to return the books tmr so die die also must complete marking by tonight..
And I just realised that my kids misunderstood the concepts tot by my colleague before she left yesterday. So now, I have to revisit that part again..
Arghhhhhhhh...
Ok.. Need to go read up my stuff cos I will be seeing my EM3 class tmr.. How to get them to listen to my lesson?? Science somemore..
I guess this 5 weeks I will need a lot of encouragement from people around.. :(
But I will learn to enjoy the process.. Hopefully I can..
