Back from Bintan
Monday, May 30, 2005 / 1:39 AM

Firstly, Happy 20th burfdae to Hero Lee.. Just came back from my Bintan trip.. In case u guys wondering how much u never see any posting den suddenly there’s a influx of postings on my blog, it is becos I do type them down in my laptop and upload all the postings and pictures once I am free to do so. However, I do not post everyday too.. When I feel like writing den I post so for those of you who have been reading my blog.. Sorry to keep u waiting..

Ok.. just did my laundry and time now is already 1.27am (According to the time on my laptop).

Initially I did not switch on my phone cos to receive overseas calls is expensive but I decided to on my Monday thinking that he might drop me a message or so.. Conclusion is.. No Message from him.. Decided to off it again when I was at Bintan Ferry Terminal becos the phone clock was of Bintan time which was an hour behind us. Reached Singapore 1st thing I did was to on my beloved mobile phone. He actually called me to ask if I have reached Singapore! Asked some stupid question as usual.. He was asking how was I supposed to go home from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. Wanted to tell him that I was waiting for him to pick me up but I decided not to be mean.. Haha..

I just did sth stupid! Brewing Chestnut and Sugar Cane for Waterboy cos he just came back from China. The weather there was bad so liang teh may be good to relieve heatiness in the body. Very tired and sleeping but must wait for the hot brewed tea to cool before I can put them in the refrigerator! Hai..

Oh ya.. My middle finger is swollen! Got slammed real hard by the toilet door in Bintan! It hit 4 fingers but the middle one kena the worst.. At that moment when the door slammed onto my hand, I thought my finger was inside the toilet behind the door! Neway.. Check out my shots in Bintan!

Took this shot in the ferry on the way to Bintan..

While waiting for custom clearance, I found this signboard..

We conquered the Coastal Rock in Bintan.. That was the best part of the camp for me..

Notice the tiny Rock structure in this photo.. This was how far the Coastal Rock Area was from the shore.. We paddled there! Too bad I forgot to bring my cam during the canoeing expedition..

My swollen middle finger.. Thanks to the toilet door!

Byebye, Singapore~!
Friday, May 27, 2005 / 12:54 PM

He has been away for 7 days..

When he comes back to office on Monday, I will still be in Bintan.. Haha..

Anyway, I will be going to our new campsite at Pasir Ris in the evening.. And will be departing for Tanah Merah Fery Terminal tomorrow morning from there.

Strangely, I am not looking forward to the trip.. Something else on my mind but I cannot figure out what it is.. Maybe I have too many projects to handle at the moment..

Oh ya, I will be back in Singapore on Monday night. Will reach the ferry terminal at 8pm.

He has been away for 6 days..

So much work to be done in office.. Sian..

His message came again after I sent him one, telling him about some stuff happening in office. His name (which appeared in my mobile after the message) never failed to brighten up my day despite the hectic schedule.. :)

Busy preparing for RJC Bintan Camp. Hope this is a good one..

Board Games are not Boring
Tuesday, May 24, 2005 / 12:10 AM

He has been away for the 3 days..

First and foremost, check out my new Nike slippers!

Met up with LayLeng, Valane and YiRang to go to Settlers. Many of us here have heard of this place but only a few have been there before. Basically, it’s a cafe which allows their guests to play with all the different types of in-house board and card games. It is located somewhere near Clarke Quay. Quite expensive for budget diners like us.

Anyway, it was my first time there. Ordered set dinner. Since Lane had been there before, she recommended the Fish and Chips and Chicken Cutlet. She herself ordered Beef Steak. Rang ordered the same as Lane and someone commented that it was because in that way, they both could not “steal” food from each other. Haha!

Played a Strawberry Card Game (Lane, if u see my post, pls advise me on the name of the game, Thanks!), Slamwiches (Stop Thief!!) and Taboo..

Nothing beats the game of Zombie which we spent a good one hour on it (We played the rest in less than an hour each). The aim of the game is to plan a town map by adding it to the main one on the table. The Commandos represented the players and we are supposed to kill the zombie, get to the helicopter and the winner will emerge.

~Our Commandos~

We started off knowing nuts about the game and we got the waiter there to teach us how to play (Trust me, the staff there knows how to play most of their in-house games. Cool!)

There came a point in time when I took out my camera and started taking pictures, Conveniently, I took pictures of Lane and Rang who were sitting opposite me. Say cheese! Ok, the most hilarious moment was here. We were happily taking pictures in our own world when we realized that Leng was so into the game of Zombie! She was killing the zombies, playing the game by herself. We realized her looking so focused when I blocked her view and she started saying “Excuse me, excuse me!”. All of us burst into laughters..

Took some pictures on the way back home..

Welcome Home, Steph!
Monday, May 23, 2005 / 2:32 AM

He has been away for 2 days..

Steph came back from her holidays in Australia. Bought me the Currant Vodka which I had been waiting for. I am going to collect the whole set of Absolut Vodka for display! Thanks babe~!

Me and Eugene. I realized he always make me look good when I take pictures with him..

Welcome home, Steph!

Flyers Flyers
Saturday, May 21, 2005 / 9:55 PM

Supposed to be at RJC in the morning before I realized that I left my shoes in office! Silly me!

Briefing at RJ started late. We were there at 10am but the briefing started almost nearing to noon time. Was waiting for the briefing to start when I received a phone call from him. He called before boarding the flight. It was a pleasant surprise indeed. Asked how was my briefing (It had not start when he called). Told him that I would be going down to Sembawang to help Mummy Joanne with the Door-to-door flyers distribution. Maybe he was more concerned if I was going down to help Joanne, that’s why he called. Haha~!

This was the flyer..

This was the place..

Felt so demoralized by the heavy rain. We managed to complete one of the 2 areas Mr Waterboy had indicated for Flyers Distribution. The other one Mummy said it had low occupancy rate and we would be putting the area on hold while waiting to see the response of the more densely populated one. Hopefully we would be hearing a lot of phone calls soon.

Jess' Birthday + Starwars Movie + Waterboy's Last Nite
Friday, May 20, 2005 / 11:40 PM

Firstly, Happy 20th birthday, Jess~!!

As usual, it was a super busy day for everyone in office, especially Waterboy. He would be living for China tomorrow. Hai~! Cannot see him the whole of next week Hopefully, I will NOT miss him Haha~!

Waterboy and I went out to buy lunch for everyone in office. I knew I had to give the goodies to him without letting the rest know about it. I took the goodie bag out of office. He drove me out to buy lunch. I did not know how to go about telling him about the goodie bag which I intended to give him so I decided to pop the most silly question to him.

“Erm.. Do you have sweet tooth?”

“Ya of course! Who doesn’t have?..”, he replied.

I left the bag on the seat and we went to the food centre to buy lunch. He went back to his car to wait for me as I was caught in a long queue. When I went back, my gut feeling told me that he had peeped into the bag. I asked him and he indirectly admitted. He had this cheeky smile on his face. I liked the way he smiled. The smile a typical sunshine boy would have..

My cousin, Jas, called me in the afternoon to ask if I wanted to catch Starwars in the evening. Although I did not have the slightest idea on what movie was about, I still agreed to watch it with my cousin. Xindi and I got a free ride from Waterboy.

Jas was more than half an hour late for the movie. Went into the cinema to realise someone else took our seats, ended up asking the staff there to help us find other seats. We sat there not knowing what had happened. Neither did we whine nor complain for missing the 1st part of the movie because it did not matter to us where it started as the both of us were not Starwars fans. Anyway, the movie tickets were free.
Went to Esplanade for supper after the movie and we took some pictures there. Passed by Old Embassy which her boyfriend did the renovation for…

Can't remember the name of the new pub where Embassy stood once..

Ladies' Nite at Breko
Thursday, May 19, 2005 / 11:47 PM

Bought 2 bottles of chrysanthemum Tea to office today. Left a bottle on his table without telling him. Noon time, he was asking whose bottle of tea was that with a cheeky look. Basket! He should have known it was for him lor… Anyway, before he left for coaching, he did take the chrysanthemum tea with him. Was having discussion with Raymond when his message came. It put a wide smile on my face.

After work, rushed down to Holland V to meet the ladies for Jess’ birthday dinner. I was late but Jun came later. She came with a new haircut! Bought a tiny cake for Jess… Had dinner and took some pictures…

The PPT Day
Wednesday, May 18, 2005 / 11:54 PM

Took a full day leave in preparation for my Physical Proficiency Test. Hoping to get in Physical Education and Sports Sciences degree programme in NIE. Went back to JJ to get Miss Choo to sign my Sports background form which was to be submitted to PPT Tester. He messaged me Good Luck. I was overwhelmed by the message. It was like a jab of adrenaline into my blood.. Haha~!

Went to NIE and met one of my Netball Umpiring course mates, Quan. Hoping that my 2 weeks worth of intensive swimming lessons would be put into good use for this test. Al the stations were alright except for Swimming. Being my weakest component,I knew that if I failed this component, I will be out! It was finally my turn to swim the 25m. I started off quite smoothly but three quarter to the finishing line, I stopped! I was too nervous.. I asked the tester to give me another chance to do the component again. He asked me to take a rest and calm down before going for my 2nd attempt. I completed the 25m swim on my 2nd attempt. Hopefully I would not be penalised for the 1st failed attempt.

After the test, checked my mobile to realise his message to ask me how was the test. It was very sweet of him to send me a message to show his concern. Hitched a ride back office to take my digicam (Thanks for the ride, Quan).

I left the office before him but still managed to hitch a ride offered by him. He was on his way to pick someone up at Tekka before going for his training. Training at 7pm but 7.10pm we were still caught in a jam in Orchard. Ended up asking him to go Tekka direct.

Was on the way to Suntec from Tekka after alighting at Marina. Took some pictures…

Ritz, where JJ Prom was held in 2003

My final destination, Suntec

Had dinner with Shir and Gene at Fish & Co. Ordered a Seafood Platter and Butter Garlic Mussels. Qi came to join us after work. Chit chat and gossiped about everything under the “moon”… Shir and Gene had been eating the whole day since noon! In the end, 4 of us could not even finish ONE platter.

Last Swimming Lesson before PPT
Tuesday, May 17, 2005 / 11:50 PM

Jun and I met up to go CDANS again. This was my last swimming session before going for my PPT. She commented that I improve drastically as it only took me 2 weeks to learn to swim. Haha~! Not bad for a beginner... Maybe it was due to my eagerness to master swimming for the sake of my future. Anyway, it was a half an hour swim at the pool before she iterally put me out and demanded me to stop, fearing that I would exhaust myself before the test.
Supposed to help Mr Waterboy hang the banner today. He left the banner in office and I volunteered to bring it down to CDANS. The journey to CDANS from office could be considered as the most pathetic one so far in the year. My boss asked me to bring down the 2 banners (1 for Adventure Centre the other for swimming) and some ropes and raffia strings in a big plastic bag. I had to carry the big banners, big plastic bag and my big training bag, took a super crowded bus during peak hours! In the end, we still did not manage to hang the banner because Mr Waterboy had his training. Luckily, I still managed to pass the banner to him without having to bring it home. Phew~!
Chinese has this saying: 3 women form a market. Jun and I met up with Val after the swim at the Cheese Prata Shop for supper. Spent the night talking about a lot of stuff. From BGR to BGR.. Haha~! Each of us shared our views on the topic. We realised that certain phrases could be used to make the duration of an event sound longer. Use "half a decade" instead of "5 years" and "a quarter year" instead of "3 months"... Haha~!

14th May BBQ @ CDANS
Sunday, May 15, 2005 / 7:03 PM

The reason for having a BBQ on this day was because I thought that I would want to see all those pals whom I have not seen for a long time... Perhaps saying that it was intentionally organised for my birthday becomes a pretty good excuse to make ppl come.. Haha.. The turnout was quite alright.. Most of the peeps in the gang turned up.. FIT colleagues too.. As usual, the gang teased me when there is a new guy next door.. Yup.. Mr Waterboy! Haha..
