Clementi Central

I dunno if there is anyone who still bother to check my blog. Cos I am the only one who seems to be active in tagging my own tagboard.

Anyway, I dun really have anything interesting to talk about becos I have been very busy facebooking. Haha..

But tonight I suddenly have some motivation to blog. So here I am...

If u guys are staying in the west for a while, you would have recalled that there was this fountain in Clementi Central. The place where the macdonalds used to be. Well.. I called that the Clementi Fountain.

Clementi Fountain was one of my favourite hangout place in secondary school days. I used to sit by the fountain outside Mac with 2 of my netball seniors. We would talk about a lot of nonsense, compose our songs by changing some lyrics.. During that time, there was a cute Vball player from a sec sch in our region. He had a not-too-skinny team mate.. So we made up songs to talk about them..

And of cos we cannot forget the Macdonalds. There used to be a lady in red who would always order the McCrispy chicken and asked for a lot of chilli sauce.. And I really mean A LOT.. Like more than 10 packets.. She would also ask for a small cup of ice water... Den she would eat the chicken until only the bones were left... The most scary place was after she was done, she would stand outside the Mac and looked into the Mac.. Imagine.. Lady in Red... Staring at u from outside the Mac... *Goosebumps*

Do u all also remember this auntie working in Mac?? I dunno how to describe her but she was quite classics... Like she talked a lot and sometimes she PMSed....

Down the shophouses, it was the Clementi Hawker Centre.. In the past, especially after our netball training, we would go there for dessert.. Sometimes, we went there with our classmates or even those guys who joined us for netball games at the quadrangle...

And also the KFC.. A&W..

Hahaha..

Memories..

I passed by Clementi Central that day and what I got was a mixed feeling.. I always think of those days I used to spend at the Central.. However, most of the landmarks were gone.. The interchange is no longer at the central.. the fountain was hacked down long ago... Mac and KFC moved to NTUC Fairprice that area.. A&W ceased its business in Singapore..

Although those landmarks were gone.. I guess the memories will stay with me forever.. :)
