2008 was indeed a crazy year! There were soo many things that happened and I am glad they did. These memories will stay with me..

Here's a recall of the crazy things I have done in 2008.

1. Performance at Zouk
For the first time in my life, I performed with a band at a club - Velvet. I am glad I did and it was a good experience. Rachel and I had to practice the song in hall in the middle of the night with Van and Valerie being our "coaches". Thanks ger... :)

2. Chinatown Heritage Centre (CHC) Fieldwork
This was by far one of the most tedious projects I have ever done in NIE. Having to visit CHC for hours and preparing stuff for the fieldwork. I had to dress up at Majie and had my hair bunned up. But the rewards were the nice makan at Maxwell and the massage sessions in Chinatown.. Keke..

3. Work and Travel USA
Never have I spent soooo much money in life within such a short period of time. WAT 2008 was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me. This was the first time I was away for home for more than 2 weeks (in fact I was away for 3 months). I spent these 3 months in USA, meeting new friends, learning new skills and experiencing a life overseas. I cooked beer patties, fries and corndogs in a fast food restaurant in Cedarpoint (America's No. 1 Amusement Park). And I was one of those who made the best milkshakes in the restaurant.. :D

I made many new friends from all over the world (esp the Americans and Taiwanese). I miss all of u!! (Suddenly I thought of Remy and Lina.. :( )They were my colleagues from work and housemates.. I had very good superiors when I was working there - Gabe, Anthony, Julie, Keith, Carly.. And I made a lunch kakee (A Singaporean) and I sooo LOVE her la... Keke..

"Kakee... U ARE LOVED!!! Muackz!!! Hahaha..."

I rode extreme roller coasters for the first time in my life! I started feeling super insecure and scared but at the end of the 3 months, I rode all the extreme roller coasters with free hands!! Yeah..

I had wonderful travel mates - Rachel, Vanessa, Cecilia, Shu-Yi, Joelin and Zixuan. We travelled to quite a number of states in USA. Been to New York City, Chicago, Niagara Falls, Orlando Disney World Florida), Grand Canyon (Arizona), Cleveland(Ohio), Las Vegas (Nevada), Los Angeles (California) and San Francisco (California) and not forgetting the place we stayed and worked Sandusky (Ohio). Thanks for being such wonderful travel mates.. :)

4. Being a Pescatarian
Yes.. 2008 was the year I attempted a no-meat (chicken, pork, mutton, beef, duck) diet. I started in April but had to stop for 3 months when I was in USA. (Ya la.. I played cheat when I was overseas.. Haha..) But since I came back in August, I had resumed my Pescatarian diet till end of the year.. Even though the guys (esp Kang and Ysing) kept tempting me to eat meat, I was able to resist to temptations!! Haha.. But I forsee that this diet is not going to work out in a long term for me becos of health reasons.. Must see how long can my body takes it before I start to be a omnivore again.. But.. I still cannot live without fish and seafood!! Haha..

5. Bintan Trip with my Girlies
This was the first time the 7 of us went overseas together. Although it was a short trip (2D1N), we really enjoyed ourselves and felt so recharged. It was a good break from a hectic semester for me... I am sure it was a good break for everyone too.. :)

6. Lee Hom's Music Man Concert
1 word - FANTASTIC. I love Lee Hom!! Keke..

7. JJ Seniors' Prom 2008 @ Shangri-la Hotel
This was my greatest achievement for 2008, leading a team of seniors and juniors to organise and execute the Graduation dinner for the Yr 2s cohort of JJ. The Prom received very good feedbacks and all these could not have been possible without the support of many people. Thank you. And I am glad that my darling juniors from Council and Yunnan Planning Committee had a memorable prom.. I did this prom for u guys and I hope it was a blast for u all.. :)

8. Shir's Wedding
Being a bridesmaid was never easy. From having to plan for the sabotage to the execution, fitting for bridesmaid dress, having little sleep the night before the wedding, running around like mad on wedding day to a total knockout at the hotel.. Haha.. But I am glad Shir invited me to be one of her bridesmaid, at least now I know I have to be more selective next time.. Keke.. But one thing for sure.. I met Zong.. :)

9. Clique's Xmas Eve Makan @ Hive5
As usual, every get-together session is a blessing and Xmas was the gathering with the highest turn-out.. Thanks for the Xmas present and the company... :)

10. Shit-stirring sessions & late night Suppers
Becos of the late night supper, Dad and I had a big quarrel followed by a cold war for 3 weeks!! But heck la.. I loved the supper sessions mainly becos of the shit-stirring moments.. And most importantly.. the ICE CREAM!!!!!! Yeah..


That's about all the crazy things (major ones) done in 2008.. I look forward to another crazy year in 2009. And I hope for good things to happen... :)
