Women are weird creatures, especially when it comes to relationship.
We are like shipwreck survivors out in the sea, without a life vest, holding on to a plank of wood, to keep us afloat. We just grab it too tightly that we refuse to let go becos there ain't any "floating device" around, fearing that we would sink becos we don't know how to swim..
When another plank of wood comes floating by and within our grip, we will make sure that we have one hand on the new plank. We test whether that new plank can keep us afloat. Only when we are sure that we will be safe, then we slowly let go of the other hand totally for the new plank. Then, adios to that old plank which we had been hanging on tightly in the past.
Sometimes we are so stubborn with our decision. We continue to hang on to the old piece of plank even though we know that it is gonna get us nowhere. When we see a ship or sampan within distance, we do not care about it, continue to hold on tightly to the piece of plank. The ship or sampan is not going to come to our rescue becos we seem so comfortable holding on to the plank. So the chance of survival and getting to shore is gone.
Maybe it's time to let go of that piece of plank. One may fear of drowning when letting go. But if you let go and try to swim on your own, u may be surprised to know that u can actually swim. Only if u have the courage to let go the plank. You can't depend on that plank to get you somewhere becos it is not moving at all! You can only depend on yourself to find your way to survival. Only when u decide to swim on your own will you be able to see another ship or sampan and hop on board and paddle to shore. Then, you will find own happiness.
Maybe this also applies to men to a certain extent. *beam*
I dun need to find a ship, all I need is a sampan to get me to shore. But only if I have the courage to let go of that piece of plank....
