Went to the airport in the morning to receive Clement, Thomas and Marcus back from Taipei. Was like raining from West side to East side of Singapore, non stop.
Their arrival was supposed to be at 12noon but delayed till abt 1240. In the end, by the time the guys were ready to collect their luggages at the belt after shopping at DFS Duty free store, it was oredi 1pm ++.
Coincidentally, Rach's bro came back from Hong Kong the same day at the same Terminal. But his flight was 240 flight. So met Rach at the airport for lunch with the guys.
After lunch, Rach and I were going up the escalator when we saw a huge crowd waiting at one of the gates.. Of cos we would go closer to check out wat happened.
Yup.. Team Singapore Athletes were on their way home from Doha.. Supporters were waiting anxiously at the airport to welcome and cheer them. Proud parents, loyal supporters, fans and even passers-by like us were given flags to wave..
