The PPT Day
Wednesday, May 18, 2005 / 11:54 PM

Took a full day leave in preparation for my Physical Proficiency Test. Hoping to get in Physical Education and Sports Sciences degree programme in NIE. Went back to JJ to get Miss Choo to sign my Sports background form which was to be submitted to PPT Tester. He messaged me Good Luck. I was overwhelmed by the message. It was like a jab of adrenaline into my blood.. Haha~!

Went to NIE and met one of my Netball Umpiring course mates, Quan. Hoping that my 2 weeks worth of intensive swimming lessons would be put into good use for this test. Al the stations were alright except for Swimming. Being my weakest component,I knew that if I failed this component, I will be out! It was finally my turn to swim the 25m. I started off quite smoothly but three quarter to the finishing line, I stopped! I was too nervous.. I asked the tester to give me another chance to do the component again. He asked me to take a rest and calm down before going for my 2nd attempt. I completed the 25m swim on my 2nd attempt. Hopefully I would not be penalised for the 1st failed attempt.

After the test, checked my mobile to realise his message to ask me how was the test. It was very sweet of him to send me a message to show his concern. Hitched a ride back office to take my digicam (Thanks for the ride, Quan).

I left the office before him but still managed to hitch a ride offered by him. He was on his way to pick someone up at Tekka before going for his training. Training at 7pm but 7.10pm we were still caught in a jam in Orchard. Ended up asking him to go Tekka direct.

Was on the way to Suntec from Tekka after alighting at Marina. Took some pictures…

My final destination, Suntec

Had dinner with Shir and Gene at Fish & Co. Ordered a Seafood Platter and Butter Garlic Mussels. Qi came to join us after work. Chit chat and gossiped about everything under the “moon”… Shir and Gene had been eating the whole day since noon! In the end, 4 of us could not even finish ONE platter.

Our Seafood Platter..
