Last Swimming Lesson before PPT
Tuesday, May 17, 2005 / 11:50 PM

Jun and I met up to go CDANS again. This was my last swimming session before going for my PPT. She commented that I improve drastically as it only took me 2 weeks to learn to swim. Haha~! Not bad for a beginner... Maybe it was due to my eagerness to master swimming for the sake of my future. Anyway, it was a half an hour swim at the pool before she iterally put me out and demanded me to stop, fearing that I would exhaust myself before the test.
Supposed to help Mr Waterboy hang the banner today. He left the banner in office and I volunteered to bring it down to CDANS. The journey to CDANS from office could be considered as the most pathetic one so far in the year. My boss asked me to bring down the 2 banners (1 for Adventure Centre the other for swimming) and some ropes and raffia strings in a big plastic bag. I had to carry the big banners, big plastic bag and my big training bag, took a super crowded bus during peak hours! In the end, we still did not manage to hang the banner because Mr Waterboy had his training. Luckily, I still managed to pass the banner to him without having to bring it home. Phew~!
Chinese has this saying: 3 women form a market. Jun and I met up with Val after the swim at the Cheese Prata Shop for supper. Spent the night talking about a lot of stuff. From BGR to BGR.. Haha~! Each of us shared our views on the topic. We realised that certain phrases could be used to make the duration of an event sound longer. Use "half a decade" instead of "5 years" and "a quarter year" instead of "3 months"... Haha~!
